Chairman of the Committee on Industry, Investment, Development, Entrepreneur, Travel,Women’s Affairs and Social Affairs, Datuk Hamidah bt Osman, recently met with the taxi drivers and their representatives from all over Perak to brief them concerning the tourist attractions in and around the state.
She said that taxi driver’s have an important role in introducing the image and beauty of Perak to tourist and regards them as ambassador’s of the state.
Taxi drivers from around the city are urged to increase their knowledge of the historical development of perak to faciliate interactions among the tourist during this Visit Perak Year 2012.
“Taxi drivers must equip their knowledge in all aspects of tourism in the state. Communication friendly and virtuous attitude could win the hearts of tourists because it represents the image of our society today.” she added.
Five taxi drivers representatives from all over Perak were then called up on stage to receive the official Visit Perak Uniform as a gift from Perak Tourism.
