Mount Irau aks Gunung Irau, located on the border of Perak Darul Ridzuan and Pahang Darul Makmur, Malaysia, stands at an elevation of 2,110 meters (6,924 feet). It is the highest peak in the Cameron Highlands and is renowned for its “Mossy Forest,” which creates a captivating green atmosphere.
The forest on Mount Irau consists of Hill Dipterocarp and Upper Dipterocarp forests. It is also situated next to Brinchang Mount (Gunung Brinchang). Mount Irau is a popular destination for hiking activities. It is located within the Hutan Simpanan Kekal (HSK) of the state of Pahang, and visitors must obtain a permit from the Pahang State Forestry Department before engaging in any activities in this area.
