Sharpened Word Literary Matinee – Short Film Fest

sharpened-word

Come spend an afternoon with our own visual story teller, Hassan Muthalib (a.k.a. Pak Hassan). He is a self-taught maestro in the local film industry and also the creator of Malaysia’s first animated feature film. Due to his prominence, he is in high demand to give lectures and discourse globally.

Pak Hassan will teach us how to watch and enjoy a movie, to understand the undertone and metaphor in a movie. At the end, you will become your own teacher each time you enter a cinema and see movies from a more diverse and wider perspective.
Not only will he be sharing his knowledge on how to view and enjoy a movie, he will be conducting an on-the-spot movie review and critic so that the audience can practice what you learn immediately from him.

So, for those film makers and enthusiasts, send in your work and let Pak Hassan give you a once-in-lifetime advice on how to improve your story telling skills.
The talk and review session will be held at 20 Aug 2016 from 2.00pm to 5.30pm and the venue is at Old Andersonians’ Club. (93 Jalan Hospital Ipoh)
