The D.R. Seenivasagam Park is located in the heart of Ipoh. There are several recreational fields, an artificial lake of various types of fishes, a nursery for potted plants and a children’s traffic playground, beautiful arches, modular framework, shelters, pedestrian circulation and the Ipoh tree, which gave the city its name.
D.R. Seenivasagam Park, formerly known as Coronation Park, was set up in 1960 and named after the prominent and well natured politician, D R Seenivasagam who was the former Ipoh councillor and MP. To the locals however, it is better known as D.R. Park.
